Trekking at Knuckles Mountain Range

Trekking is wonderful experience for the keen hiker .Knuckles Mountain Range trekking is fabulous opportunity always,


One day trekking in world heritage site (UNESCO) will be started on 6.30 A.M from Kandy. Passing through industrial suburb of Kandy and the largest Victoria reservoir, have a nice cup of tea at view point of Victoria Reservoir. Continue the drive passing Kandyan home gardens, terrace rice fields, mid country tea plantations, exotic wood reforests.


  9.30 A.M, Start trekking up to the Knuckles summit on a trail through tea plantation, pigmy forest, cloud forests, and plateau with grassland. Endemic birds, mammals, fresh water creatures in crystal clear water streams. Enjoy the panoramic view at the Knuckles Summit with all the way thick jungles. Have picnic lunch and walk back to the place where vehicle parked. Drive back to Kandy in the late evening around     6.30 P.M  
Option: There is a panoramic seven steps cascading waterfall. Can be start above trek through waterfall adventure trail also. Your guide will select the option on ground level situations like, whether, permission, ability of guests etc…… The prices for the tour is,
Transport provide only by safari jeep or suitable vehicle and Picnic lunch , Entrance tickets  Fees for professional guide  and Mineral water will be providing


 Make sure you have your own health insurance. And you have responsible own health condition for long walk and  you have to obey  Sri Lankan Government Regulations  for Flora & Fauna ( No plant, animals, live or dead ) removed from any sites are prohibited. Also Personal effects for warm/ windy/ rainy conditions have to be carried by clients.


Please don’t forget Walking shoes, short trousers, a rain coat, personal things with a small back pack, personal first aid Kit. And a Dettol or  antiseptic bottle for leaches (you can buy anywhere)

Sri Lanka is becoming a major spot for watching Whales and Dolphins. Dondra Point of down south in Sri Lanka is the main port of Whale Watching in Sri Lanka during December to April. Out of these months December, January and April are the peak months of sightings. During these months there is 98% chances of spotting Sperm Whales and great chances of spotting Blue Whales as their migration path is just off Dondra Point. We are able to arrange Whale Watching Trips off Dondra Point in a fully insured trawler boat which will last for 3 hours. Also there are good chances of spotting Spinner Dolphins also off Dondra. Ample of accommodation options are available as Dondra point can be reach easily from Hikkaduwa, Galle, Unawatuna, Weligama, Mirissa and Tangalle which are popular beach locations in Sri Lanka. Mirissa is the closest point to Dondra Point with good accommodation options.
Kalpitiya is the best places if you are interested in seeing Dolphins. During November to March is the best season to go Dolphin Watching off Kalpitiya. At a time you can witness 1000-1500 Dolphins. We can arrange accommodation in basic holiday cottages to nice beach villas in Kalpitiya area.

When children reach a marriageable age, parents seek the help of marriage brokers (Magul Kapu Mahathaya), relatives, friends & newspapers advertisements to find a suitable partner. The custom of arranged marriages is common,
If the compatibility of two horoscopes is high and socio-economic conditions tally then the boy & his family are invited for meal at the girls house,
Once boy has come to girls home she will offer bulath (Betel Leaves) to young Man, it’s give only chance to have close look at each other, once the first step Is success young girls parents visit boys house,
After confirming all in order, they build up to the marriage it’s full of festival and tension as well, both parties have to work together succeed the function smoothly. As  per the Sri Lankan Custom girl has to pay for the wedding ceremony, Boy only expense second day home coming party but boy has to bring girls Neck lace  & rings,
The ceremonial clothing and accessories worn by the couple dressed in the Kandyan style are possibly the most elaborate costumes to be found in the island. The bride wears a saree draped in kandyan style. With traditional seven necklaces, headdress with Sun & Moon sign, a woven waist chain, anklets & wristlets. The groom wearing dress maid up 36 yard of fabric materials, it include golden sword & historical hand wears,

After the Poruwa ceremony couple enjoying the meal with guest & they will leaving enjoying Honeymoon,

After the Honeymoon couple will come to the groom home that party call home coming party, bride should wear that saree which given by the boy during the Poruwa Ceremony, color of the saree usually Red, this party organizing by the groom’s family they will welcome to the bride family, it’s a party time lot of music, dancing & calibrations are take place here,,,

Turtles Watching

Hambantota District in Southern Sri Lanka is a haven for turtle Nesting ,out of eight species of marine Turtles ,five species are nesting here, They are namely,
  • Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas)  
  • Olive Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea)
  • Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea)  
  • Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata)  
  • Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta)
But following species Cannot be seen in Sri Lanka
  • Flatback Turtle (Natator depressus)  
  • Black Turtle/East Pacific green turtle (Chelonia agassizii)  
  • Kemp's Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelys kempi)
Research has shown that Hambanthota,Rekawa,Kosgoda areas are best turtle nesting rookery in sri Lanka with 600-900 nests deposited annually,

When a female has located the nesting beach she waits until night-time in waters close to the shore. Female turtles nest at night because it is cooler and in the darkness they are less conspicuous to large predators.

 TCP provide guide to walk to beach to see the Turtle nesting habit but cannot guarantee the availability, which Program will be started 8.00Pm that continue till 9.00Pm at the Rekawa Beach,
